Prevention plays a central role in efforts to eradicate and remove the root causes of gender-based violence.

The role of GBV Education is to contribute towards the work to change attitudes, or questioning of gender roles and stereotypes that make gender-based violence acceptable in society. This can be done through organizing campaigns, trainings, peer-to-peer education, or leveraging education policies to address gender inequality.
